Operating under the authority of the Teton County Sheriff's Office, we are responsible for inland water, wilderness and urban search and rescue in an area bounded by our County jurisdiction and provide assistance to Teton County Wyoming, Targhee National Forest to the east, Caribou Targhee National Forest to the south and the Big Hole Mountains to the west. This primary area includes some of the most popular and accessible terrain for winter and summer outdoor enthusiasts.

As a non profit organization we are supported through private donations and the Community Foundation of Teton Valley Tin Cup Challenge which is held on the third Saturday in July. For more information about the Community Foundation and the Tin Cup Challenge go to http://www.cftetonvalley.org .

If you are interested in joining our team we are currently accepting applications for candidates training to start in March 2012.  If you would like to donate equipment contact the Teton County Sheriff's Office at 208-354-2323. or email us at teton.search.rescue@gmail.com
